Day 2: A day in Nha TrangAfter enjoying a nice breakfast spread, you can either spend a relaxing day at the beach or you can head into Nha Trang town. Nha Trang is a popular beach destination among Vietnamese tourists. There are plenty of outdoor activities to participate in whilst in town: snorkelling, diving (January to October), biking and sailing for instance. There are several islands right off the coast and the boulevard is lined with an assortment of restaurants and bars.Despite its more touristy character, this place really is charming and contains a few hidden gems. Have a look around the harbour when the fishermen bring in their catch of the day or stroll down to the Cham towers. These towers are made of red clay stones and and are reminiscent of the temples at Angkor Wat. All around the temples you’ll see Vietnamese men and women burning incense to honour the gods. |
Day 3: What's next..Eventually the time will come to move on. If you want to spend more time on the coast, you can extend your stay by one or more nights. If you would like to travel south, you can fly down to the Ho Chi Minh City, Southern Vietnam's most enigmatic city. Have a look at our Southern Vietnam trips summary page for more options. If you started out in Ho Chi Minh City you can add a few Central Vietnam modules to your itinerary after this Nha Trang trip.
