Modules: short Vietnam toursWe offer a number of short Vietnam tours (or modules), which are bitesized trips usually last 3 or 4 days. These can also be combined to form a longer adventure. Vietnam is a long and narrow country, making it logical to travel from north to south or vice versa. If you choose to begin your Vietnam tour in the north and work your way south, you can easily round off your trip with some relaxation on the beach. For more information about recommended routes, take a look at the how does this website work? page.During your Vietnam tour, you'll travel independently, but every now and then you may join a small group for an activity or excursion (e.g. Cu Chi tunnels or Halong Bay cruise). These modules can be linked together to form a longer and more comprehensive Vietnam tour (see suggested itineraries). To create your own tour, simply choose the modules that catch your eye, and add them to the quote request form. We will then work on this with you to create your ideal Vietnam tour, including overnight trains and other domestic travel. Alternatively, you can always contact one of our Vietnam specialists at info@vietnamtravelplan.co.uk or call 01273 718 035. |
North Vietnam tours: Hill tribes, magical islands and the Old QuarterOur North Vietnam tours are packed with spectacular nature and fascinating culture, offering countless possible combinations. One truly unmissable sight is Halong Bay, off the northeast coast of Vietnam. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is a breathtaking bay composed of thousands of limestone formations that rise majestically from the sea. It makes a dramatic backdrop for lazy boat tours and hikes through Cat Ba National Park. Further north, along the border with China, you'll find a completely different Vietnam, untouched by modernity as we know it. Here, we offer Vietnam tours to a remote mountain wilderness, where you can make friends with the hill tribe locals, take in the breathtaking views and amble amongst the terraced rice paddies. All of the North Vietnam tours begin in Hanoi, an unusual city with the aroma of fresh spring rolls wafting through the narrow streets. Just beyond the city limits you can explore jungly national parks, visit an ape sanctuary, and get a glimpse of daily life in a quirky floating village. |
Central and South Vietnam tours: Unforgettable cities, tropical beaches and the Mekong Delta
After some action-packed North Vietnam tours, you can break up your journey south with a few days in the captivating central region. The timeless cities of Hoi An and Hué will add a touch of culture to your trip before you hit the beach. They are both atmospheric destinations crammed with lively lanes, historic relics, inexpensive tailors and local craftsmen. Continuing south, you'll find a rich tropical oasis. Here, you can kick off your flip-flops and unwind. Laze dreamily on a boat as it drifts through the narrow waterways of the Mekong Delta, get goosebumps in the eerie Cu Chi tunnels, and relax on picture-book beaches by warm azure waters. We have selected a number of idyllic islands and beach destinations, allowing you to choose the perfect ending to your Vietnam tour. |
Cambodia and Laos trips : Mystical temples, untouched villages and colonial citiesThe countries of Cambodia and Laos are often great add ons for a lot of people who travel to Vietnam. We offer several modules in these two countries. You can choose to take a boat trip to the city of Phnom Penh in Cambodia to see the macabre Killing Fields and learn about the Khmer Rouge. From the colonial city of Siem Reap you can take an extraordinary bike ride through undiscovered Cambodia, and of course visit the cultural wonder of Angkor Wat.
